Sam's list of Fish Dishes in Delhi / NCR to try before you die.

Well, one needn't be Bengali to love Fish, (because I have seen my Bangla friends being so passionately sentimental about Fish). One only needs to be a Fish lover to love Fish. Simple.

Delhi is deprived of some great fresh salt water fish and of course sea food being a non coastal area, but there are still some Gems recreated by Chef's in this City which were able to leave a mark on Sam's palate.

As a Food Fish is rich in Protein and Omega 3 fatty acids. Doctor's recommend fish over red meat any day. And I strongly recommend one orders a portion of Fish over a steak or a Lamb shank, its definitely a healthier choice.

So below are my favourite Fish Dishes in Delhi / NCR. You have to try all dishes atleast once before you die.

Olive Bar and Kitchen

Andaman Tuna with Carpaccio, pickled turnip, quail eggs, french beans on a braised onion tart with artichoke and green apple puree is one of the best fish dishes I have ever tasted. This has got to be one of Chef Sunan's most blissful tuna creations I have ever had. The presentation, ah! what a pretty picture on a plate. And taste - par excellence.

Andaman Tuna

Chilean Seabass - The undisputed king of all fish in the city and another dish I love at The Olive Bar & kitchen. The honey mustard complemented the seabass really really well. The caramalized brussel sprout sucotash, sunchoke puree and fennel with a heavenly mash made this dish so seductive that one surrendered to its magic. This has to be one the most magical seabass dish I have ever tasted. Definitely the dish of the day for me

Fried Calamari - Awesome Calamari in a lemon pepper batter with a slice of lime. Bliss! One of the best Crispy Calamari dishes available in the city with the perfect batter.

Guppy by Ai

Eel Yanagawa Fu - Braised Japanese eel with egg is served on a bed of burdock root and seasonal grilled vegetables. My first time tasting eel and man, I am impressed by its subtlety in flavour and I must add it goes well with egg.

Taco's Vs Basa - Crushed spiced Nachos on top of Basa topped with a lemon and dill sauce is divine beyond comprehension. Crushed Nachos - A great twist to the dish. Wild rice served as an accompaniment is fab too.

Pan seared Fresh Fish - Awesome River sole complemented with a tangy lime sauce served with a side of green beans, fennel, almonds and citrus orange salad. This dish was "spot on" on taste and flavour. The sauce was fabulous. Loved the fish which was cooked to perfection.

Hi Kolkata

Shoshe Mach - this mustard flavoured fish was heavenly and I loved the zing of mustard in the gravy. It tasted so great with white rice and I recommend you use your fingers to eat this.

Rosang

Masor Logot Khorisa (Assamese Fish) - Fantastically done. So rich, in flavour, that it ignites your senses. The bamboo shoot just brings out the flavour of the fish in a very unique way.

La Pinoz Pizza - Sohna Road, Gurgaon - 4/5

Wow! Now this is how your pizza day must taste like. Amazing, cheesy and loaded with toppings coupled with a great base La pinoz is a Pizza lovers dream come true.

I have been a huge fan of their Golf Course outlet and when I ordered from here I wasn't surprised that the food was great.

Saturday is a lazy day and both me and my husband were feeling lazy so what better than ordering a pizza. We have been regulars at the golf course road outlet and we wanted to order in some pizza. So we got a discount on food panda and ordered a burn to hell 18 inch and a 12 inch customised with corn and olives only.

I was more than happy that the order arrived only in 30 minutes and man the pizzas were hot and cheesy and oh so yummy. The base isn't as thick as Domino's and they are not miser with the toppings. I loved whatever I ate and I am freaking out the pizzas were so good.

Not only are their Pizza's great their Salads and sides are great too. You will fall in love with their Oreo Cookie Shake. I would have to say by far they serve the best Pizza's this part of Town. Their Pizza's are a treat for Pizza Lovers.

People if u live close by you have to try Their pizzas and trust me you won't stop at one.

Au Bon Pain- Gurgaon - 3/5

Au Bon Pain is a Parisian style cafe Bakery in the heart of DLF Cyber Hub. Located at the lobby level, it is hard to miss. The place has a huge area and loads of seating space and is primarily a self service establishment.

You can grab any meal right from an early morning breakfast or lunch or even a mid-day meal or an evening snack here. The show windows are tempting with a lavish spread of cakes, pastries, cup cakes and some great bakes. The spread also includes loads of rolls, breads, cookies, shakes, fresh juices, greek yoghurts and breakfast bowls.

You could just land up in Cyber hub with a book, grab a chair sip your coffee, enjoy your muffin and watch time pass you by. I love the bright white and yellow themed decor, quite catchy I might add. And the feel is decidedly better than a cafe coffee day or even a Barista. And the coffee is decent too. So if you are looking for an unconventional place you have not visited before to catch up with your friends and colleagues, this just might be the place you have been ignoring.

I was in DLF Cyber hub with a friend and was dying for some caffeine and I am not a huge fan of the coffee at Starbucks so I chose to visit Au Bon Pain instead, and I an glad I did, I was not disappointed. We ordered ourselves some coffee, some red velvet pastries and some rolls and the food is good quality. My friend also ordered a fresh juice. Just that orange juice when stored for a longish duration becomes sour. Other than that whatever we had was nice. And I am not surprised they run out of stock pretty soon, because the items are good in taste and quality.

The food is decently priced and the place has everything a cafe has, so this one must be on your go-to list in Cyber hub
