Four Season's Jaipur - 2.5/5

It was a Tuesday night while we were travelling to Jaipur, so we were fishing for some vegetarian options. Such an irony! So I spoke to a friend who is a local and he recommended that we go to Four seasons for dinner.

Located in the Posh C scheme area this restaurant is spread on two floors. The moment I entered the restaurant, the ambiance seemed pretty basic, more like an udupi restaurant. So was unsure what the fuss about the place was all about. We were seated and it ages for them to hand the menu’s to us. It was almost 10 in the night and the restaurant wasn’t even full. We started to get a feeling we were not needed here. Finally someone took pity on us and the menu’s arrived. Without much a do we placed our order only to wait for eternity for the food to arrive. The menu had options from multiple cuisines but we kept it simple.

You know when you are hungry and there is an elongated waiting time between your tongue and the food it seems like a lifetime. And after a lifetime of waiting and reminding that it had been a while since our orders were taken the food finally graced us with its presence. Needless to say the service was bad and the coordination between the kitchen and the service staff was bad too which was evident from the fact that the food wasn’t piping hot. The kitchen staff had prepared the food and the service staff hadn’t bothered to bring in hot food to our table.

Our mojo for having a satisfying meal especially when we were hungry had died. Food was ok in taste not great. And service was pathetic. Would I recommend the place? Nah!

This is what we had -

Paneer Sizzler - Was not great but not bad either
Rajasthani Thali - Average
Spring rolls - Average, Soggy and not hot
