Khidmat SEC - 50, Noida- 3.5/5

My continuous quest for eating good food takes me to a number of places and this week me and my partner in crime, my darling husband went to this restaurant in Noida. At first he wasn't even sure we must go that far... sector 50...., but the sweet heart that he is he agreed and we headed straight to sec 50.

I realized this restaurant is quite conveniently located, especially if you are taking the metro. You do not have to worry about parking the car, there is a pretty safe and ample parking space. I realized that this market in sec 50 is bombarded with so many eating joints. It seemed to be quite a happening market and right in the centre of this happening market is khidmat.

The restaurant is located on the first floor, and when we entered the restaurant I was greeted to a serene, calm soothing ambience. Honestly I thought the place was so tastefully done that the dim lighting was hiding the actual potential of the ambience. May be because it was day time, they had kept the lighting on a little low. But I would personally prefer a little brighter. We were greeted very sweetly and seated on one of the most comfortable sofas near the window.

The restaurant is pretty decently spaced and is a 50 cover restaurant, very apt for your afternoon kitty parties, your kiddie birthday parties or your weekend family and friend get togethers. The Manager was really sweet and introduced himself and said he was right there if we needed anything, and personally took our order for the starters.

For starters we ordered the murg lehsuni tikka and paneer shashlik tikka with Khidmat fruit punch to drink. The drink arrived first, was a little too sweet for our palate, but the starters were rocking. The chicken was so soft, so juicy, so tenderly succulent that it just elevated you to another level.

The show stopper was the paneer tikka. OMG! paneer so soft, so creamy so buttery, simply melted in ones mouth. The manager said they specially order a specific type of paneer for the tikka.

The mains we ordered were methi chicken, paneer lababdar and dal makhani. Methi chicken gravy was quite nice and the meat was tender and juicy. The paneer was nice, non oily, non greasy and full of rich onion, tomato pulp and capsicum. I liked the daal too and the garlic naan simply went well with it.

The kulfi for the dessert was a grand end for a great afternoon feast.

Nice food, great service, but to top it all only one recommendation: - Guys please do not take this personally, all items were great in taste and absolutely deliciously yummy, but I think Khidmat needs a USP. You need to sit with your chefs and make a couple of items unique to Khidmat that will set you apart from the crowd of north Indian and moughlai restaurants mushrooming in the city. You have a great concept but you need a couple of items that are unique on the menu.

But keeping everything aside, a great place I recommend to friends, family, fellow foodies and all in the city and especially the foodies living close to this amazing gastronomical place come explore this journey of taste, this complete meal experience that will delight your senses and match your quest for good food.
