As a lover of Tex-mex food, it can be really hard to find great Mexican food in the city and one always complains. Living in Delhi there can be a dearth of great Mexican food, I was ready to say good bye to awesome Tex-Mex when one day I made a trip to Cyber hub to catch up with friends & discovered Dos Burros. I can close my eyes & say this place is excelente! Dos Burros offers a wide variety of options for your meal and all of them are made fresh with quality ingredients. The location is superb, Food is good & drinks are mind blowing, this place has got it all.
My visit was really a pleasant surprise. I can't get enough of this place. Its simply good, no frills attached honest to God authentic Tex Mex food in our fair city. If your idea of good Mexican food is Chili's, it's time to take a trip to Cyber Hub and eat and taste for yourself how real Mexican food is like. Delicious, authentic and innovative Mexican food is something you can expect here and I can vouch that they are one of the country's best Mexican food restaurants today.
The ambiance is adorable and charming.Outdoor seating is really colourful and its fun to sit outside in the evenings and in winters it simply feels great, The inside of the restaurant itself is more like a home than a restaurant - so it's white, homey and comfortable. There's a huge bar too & the staff is very friendly, responsive and accommodating.
We go to a lot of Mexican restaurants, and frankly find the food bland at most places. Dos Burros has it all - a great combination of good quality food, excellent service and a comfortable environment. Their food is high-quality and they offer a lot of stuff you don't see at other Mexican restaurants in the city. As to the menu, everything is fabulous! A very extensive menu with authentic Mexican food. And if you can't decide what to order, the friendly waiters are happy to help you choose.
Excellent food, great service authentic Mexican ingredients in the food and a Mexican Chef to top if all this place is bound to make a place for itself in your heart. One can taste the freshness of ingredients from the Nacho Chips & Salsa to the margaritas to all the full meals. You would find every bit of Mexican at this place - Fresh chips with home made guacamole and tacos, delicious fajitas and burritos too! And they have a selective Thai menu too for Thai lovers like me. What's great is that their food isn't overly covered by sauces, instead the food itself is delicious and tastes fresh! The Drink Menu is BIG & the Cocktails are simply great. For the record, the nachos with guacamole are supreme and the desserts & Calamari are delicious & the portions are so so massive
I recommend this restaurant and can honestly say that it deserves its high rating and reviews on all reviewing sites. If you love Mexican you gotta eat here!
Coming to taste this is what we had -
● La Fruta Margarita - Loved this watermelon, kaffir lime, lime orange and minty drink. Strongly recommend you have this
● GUACAMOLE with crispy corn tortillas - Super fresh guacamole, like literally. Holy guacamole!! Their guacamole is so fresh and delicious! Made on your table with fresh ripe avocado, jalapeño, chili's, tomatoes & lime juice in front of you, just marvellous. It was actually a good start to a great meal because the chef prepared it in front of us fresh on our table with the ingredients. The combination of crispy tortilla goes really well with the guacamole. Distinct flavours of all the ingredients like onion, tomato, lime and avocado bring out the taste so well.
● Pink Panther - This beautiful drink served in a heart shaped shot glass is a killer. One of my favourite shooters till date.
● El Gringojito - I had the Orange flavoured Mojito which is a rock-star.
● Fried Calamari - Awesome Calamari in a lemon pepper batter with a slice of lime. Bliss! A must have here.
● Mexican Creole Prawn- A great dish again, mild subtle shrimp was nice and tender, the dish was absolutely perfect.
● Cumin lime chicken - A great dish that won my heart and is served with a great tangy sauce. The chicken was nicely cooked, juicy and tender, and presented with a bouquet of stir fried veggies.
● Charred chicken Leg & Mexican rice- Loved the smoky flavour in the chicken which was cooked to perfection.
● Coconut & Curry leaf prawn - Loved the Thai flavoured prawns, juicy and great flavour.
● Chicken Black pepper & Mint - Mint & Pepper Wow! What a great combination and that reflects certainly in the taste.
● Dos Burros Goreng - I have been a fan of Nasi Goreng and I especially loved the Prawn Chips.
● Diced chicken in two Pepper sauce : Another great combination garlic,ginger and diced chicken - a great dish.
● Churros - A great way to end the meal with sugar dusted crisp churros and chocolate sauce. Loved them.
● Berries suggestion - A berrilicious dessert with a scoop of Vanilla is quite sinful.
● Caramilzed banana gateau : A stupendously indulgent banana cake with delicious choco caramel icing. Looks good and tastes even better than it looks
