Def Col Social - 4/5

Social offline has really come up well in the major metro's in the country. Having also opened in Bangalore and Mumbai, this place is definitely here to stay in Delhi. Social is a place that combines the elements of your office space and your favorite cafĂ© and the result is one fine combination of work and entertainment that Jack works and plays and does not become a dull boy.

It’s a modern take on a business cafe designed in such a manner that you can hold a business meeting, work on your laptop with a couple of beers and some great Bar food. You can hold a morning meeting and enjoy some of their choicest breakfast options including french toast or Pan Cakes with maple syrup or even some desi breakfast favorites.

Now you don't need to be confined to your cubicle for a business meeting and you can work and chill out at the same time. And that certainly does not mean that you cannot visit with a crazy bunch of friends and enjoy a couple of drinks over some stunning food and music.

I love the ambiance of the place. Its is different and not cliched like most cafe's in the city.  It looks like a Garage or a warehouse with some basic no frills attached comfortable furniture. In the evenings the dim lighting can really get you going and set your mood to have some real fun. The atmosphere is oh so refreshing and the great food and drinks really complement the entire feel of the cafe really well.

The bar food and drinks are really creative and very innovative and taste absolutely spectacular. You are spell bound by the innovative way the food an drinks are served. The ingredients are fresh and each bar food is unique in its own way.

So there we were the crazy bunch of foodie friends of #TDfc who got together to eat some nice food and grab some drinks at the Def col Social located just on top of Roll Mall. We got together and grabbed some of the nicest drinks and some food to remember.

This is what we had -

  • Trip on the Drip - Loved my cocktail. It contains Vodka, Peach Schnapps, orange juice and Cranberry Juice with some orange slices in the middle. What I loved the most about it was the way it was served - In a plastic pouch. And it tasted refreshingly super. My rating 4.5/5
  • Death Wings - Spicy as hell, these chicken wings ought to be one of the best in Delhi. Served with onion rings on top as though the onion rings are doing a pole dance around them. Definitely a must have at Social. My rating 4/5
  • Keema Pao - Awesomeness personified. Soft fresh pav's with nice mildly flavoured Keema. Loved it. My rating 4/5
  • Mac and Cheese - This was the only disappointing dish and tasted more like a pasta in white sauce gone bad. My rating 2/5
  • Steak & Cheese Dawg - Contains strips of tenderloin stir fried with bell peppers and onions and topped with the cheezy Cheddar. Loved it. Only regret that I could have the entire thing, was full and had to leave. But this is a must have at Social. My rating 4/5
