Club Mahindra has great properties to stay anywhere in the world. Club Mahindra happens to be an RCI partner, and I can undoubtedly say they have the best property in Kumbhalgarh. Located in Kelward district, this resort is far from the madness and noise of the city. Kumbalgarh is about 95 km from Udaipur and about 300kms from Jodhpur and a great place to relax your self. I recommend that you spend atleast 4 days in this resort to unwind and get back to your monotonous life.
This 5 star resort is huge and has beautiful rooms, enormous swimming pool and where ever you look you can see beautiful landscapes. The coffee shop has some great regional and international cuisines and around Kumbalgarh you can do a lot if you are on an adventure trip. The resort offers great mountain biking and hiking gear, and some day trips and jungle safari’s.
When in Kumbalgarh this is the place to be. I really enjoyed my 4 nights in this resort, and enjoyed some great food, and the traditional Daal baati Churma and soaked myself in the pool. 4 days well spent. Do check out the pictures.
Day 4 of my road trip I reached and rested at the resort and day 5 rested for half a day and then went around to see the great Fort Kumbalgarh, which is the only monument after The Great wall of China that can be seen from space.
The Club Mahindra Property in Kumbalgarh is breathtaking. Located in a secluded place inside Kumbalgarh, it is quite close to the Kumbalgarh Fort. It is the best place to relax from the hustle and bustle of City life. They have a great looking pool which overlooks the stunning landscape. The inhouse restaurant serves affordable and great food. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable and most of all the staff is very courteous.
This is one Club Mahindra property you cannot afford to miss if you are a member. The fort Kumbalgarh is another stunning monument and one of the most beautiful forts I have ever seen, even though it is quite a climb till the roof top, but the view is worth every breath you loose walking the distance.
The palace happens to be the birth place of Maharana Pratap and they also hold a light and sound show in the evening giving you the entire history of the fort. The show is very entertaining, but I recommend you come in early and grab your seats because you may end up watching the show standing.
Kumbalgarh is one destination in Rajasthan that you can visit for 2-3 days only because there actually isnt much to do in and around. You could head out to Haldi Ghati and watch the mountain that Maharana's horse Chetak jumped from.
I enjoyed my 3 stay stay at Kumbalgarh and headed to Udaipur next stay tuned to read about the land of lakes - Udaipur.
