Located in the famous Hazratgunj area in central Lucknow this place still has that old world charm treating your taste buds to some good old regional food and some famous Indian street food. The ambiance is of a typical halwai shop, even though they have seating space in the basement area. The Ground floor has a lavish display of an array of sweets and namkeens and one cannot help but ogle over the show windows sheepishly like a small kid.
So since I had read a lot about the place online and it was one of the must visit places list when in Lucknow so the first place I visited on my Ist day in Lucknow. Not knowing what to order I stuck to asking for recommendations from the server and he recommended I order a kasta cholley chaat and a samosa chaat with some lassi and Malai chum chum and Lassi. The order arrived pretty swiftly. I thoroughly enjoyed the khasta chaat and samosa chaat and the malai chum chum was nice though overtly sweet. The server also recommended Kaju gilori which was very very sweet and quite passable. Lassi was nice.
Pricing is great and so are the portions. You could visit the place since its legendary
