The Fun we had @ Smokey's BBQ & Grill GK-2 -4.5/5

I  would start by saying that dining at Smokey's transports you to dining at a rustic countryside restaurant in the USA. Smokey's BBQ & Grill's  Ribs, burgers, steak's and cocktails are so good that everyone is talking about them! Meat eaters, you're going to be in paradise As far as Delhi's BBQ joints go... this is my numbah 1 favorite. Came here for dinner and was blown away by their food quality, atmosphere, and friendly service (although they were so busy being a Friday night - they still served with great courtesy and respect). I just love this place. It's always consistently good, and the service is good too. Can't ever go wrong stopping here. The menu and the decor are real American barbecue style. We have eaten here several times and enjoy it as its little different than most restaurants in GK and as well as a welcome break from usual pizza pasta kinda joints.

Yes, after the Chef's tireless effort in hand crafting the menu, Smokey's customers are served the perfect smoked-barbecue fare: tender and succulent baby back pork ribs, chicken,  and beef steaks, along with the delicious and sticky homemade barbecue sauce. And this is besides Smokey's very popular John Dory and the most talked about Cocktails.
The food is good and if you have that urge for a BBQ, this is the place to go. Fragrant BBQ aromas will draw you through the door to this family friendly Grill. Try a House Special for cocktails and main's. They are always good and interesting. A great find in a land of somewhat run of the mill restaurants. Very tasty food - combination of western and eastern menu; good serving size and reasonably priced. Liked the ambiance, very American, relaxing and service with a smile,

Smokey's is a cool and casual place that welcomes everyone.  Choose from the juicy and succulent ribs, to chicken, or seafood, with great side dishes. The wine, the cocktails and beer are very modestly priced. The food is good basic barbecue and the combination of Barbecue and their awesomely made cocktails is a little unique. I've been eating there two or three times a month and the food is consistently excellent, the service competent and the music oh so wow and oh yeah the prices - reasonable, worth every penny spent here.
To me, Smokey's translates to meat heaven. I'm not an expert on ribs or steaks but all I can say is that the ribs were very tender and fell of the bone easily and the steaks are prepared so well that they retain their "meaty" flavors. At only about 1000 per head you get to enjoy a decent variety of starters, sliders, mains and side dishes and of course, meat for all the helpings you can eat, so come with a hungry tummy! I liked the selection of side dishes, covering cold to hot dishes which was a nice thing to nibble on in between grilled meat helpings. Also service is spot on and there were an abundance of servers walking around, ready to help with whatever was necessary. My friends felt a feeling of genuine niceness from the servers.

The meat selection is good too - you have a variety of marinated beef, chicken and pork in different cuts as well as some yummy hot dogs and burgers as sliders. I also especially like that everything is clean and well-presented. So I recommend you came with a large bunch of friends who can really eat - it'll be fun! Also I can say that they are probably the best steak restaurant in the city where limited choice of steak restaurants are avaiable. Premium grill of seafood, Angus-grade steaks, lamb and fantastic cocktails are also served here, making it a truly barbecue and grill restaurant.

Besides the one in GK, Smokey's BBQ & Grill restaurant also has another branch at Cyber hub in Gurgaon. And man, both are good or what. Both places have a reasonably extensive menu of grilled and barbecued dishes.  Great taste which is unusual. In-keeping with the barbecue tradition, only hickory-treated wood is used in the slow, smoking process used to produce the tender, moist, flavorful rack and Grill's Smokey's is known for. Even better, the smoked ribs are dressed with a house special barbecue sauce.
The Amazing cocktails deserve a special mention, esp the smoked negroni with dry ice and the Lock n stock in a smokin barrel. If you follow my food blog / Blog's FB page you would have seen the awesome video's we put of the making of these wondrous cocktails.
So judgement time, this is what we had-

  • Royale - This awesome cocktail served in a champagne tulip is their signature molecular cocktail with creme de cassis ravioli & prosecco. Simply loved it. If you have seen the video I posted on my blog you will see how they make this awesome drink. My rating 4.5/5
  • Lock, Stock & a smokin Barrel - I had this at cyber hub and loved it here as well. The hollywood drama that goes into making this awesome cocktail is fabulous. Watch the video on my blog, you will love how  they make it. And it is super yum. My rating 4.5/5
  • Smoke infused Negroni - Thisorange flavoured Cocktail over Dry ice is fantastic, and obviously the glamorous way in which it is served sweeps you off your feet. My rating 4.5/5
  • Burn Bourbon Burn - This cinnamon flavoured JB mixed Cocktail is a beautiful creation. They also flavour this with maple and bitters making it yet another fantastic molecular creation. My rating 4/5
  • Mint Julep - A very traditionally made Mint julep only with four ingredients: mint leafbourbonsugar, and water was spot on. My rating 4/5
  • Burger Sliders - The chunky Chiken and tenderloin sliders were fabulous, have had them at cyber hub and loved them here too. My rating 4/5
  • john Dory with Smoked Shimla Chilli - Served with Tomato Rissotto and Shimla Chilli sauce. The juiciness of the australian John Dory was intact and the rissotto brilliant. My rating 4/5
  • Steak Two ways - My Ist time having this at Smokey's was a duo of tenderloin steak and pulled beef ragout with red wine jus. The steak was perfect for me, medium rare, just as I like it and the red wine jus went so well with it. My rating 5/5
  • Slow Cooked Pork Ribs - Chilean Pork ribs marinated in a house spice mix and cooked in a wood fired oven. Ah Divine is an understatement, the ribs were very tender and fell of the bone easily. My rating 4.5/5
  • Smoked Lamb Stew - Ah Soul food and divine, served with mash and vegetables, I loved it. My rating - 4/5
  • Reshmaptti Spiced prawns - Ooooh lala, loved them loved them and loved them. Medium prawns marinated with special reshmapatti chilli and coked and served with quinoa rice and spicy lemon butter sauce. Heavenly. My ratng gotta be 5/5
  • Smoked Lamb burger with buttered onions and chilli - Ah! Wow, I am a burger person and this lamb patty was juicy, meaty and the onions in the burger really enhanced the flavour. My rating 4/5
  • We hogged so much that we had no space for dessert :)
You go there for a big feast rather than it being a place to be seen. If you're missing hearty American food then I would recommend you visit. I will definitely come back when I am craving for some good food, most importantly one of the best hospitality you could get in a local restaurant. Stop hesitating, all you have to do now is order some beer, clean your hands, and dig in! Real meats are eaten using your hands. For all meat lovers, (or BBQ lovers), Smokey's is a must visit.
