SAM enjoying flavours of South India @Saravana Bhawan Connaught place - 4/5

I was at this outlet of saravana bhawan some time back with my old 6 pack foodie friends and we had a blast and really enjoyed some good sambhar, upma and vadai

The place has a typical udipi setting and seating space. Very plain, very simple and service is lightening fast and deliver almost instantly and you are out after your meal at the speed of light.

We sat and the server took out orders. Most of pals stuck to the age old trusted south Indian menu item the Masala Dosa, and the vada sambhar. I ordered a Dahi Vada, Rava Masala Dosa and Dahi Vada with a glass of Buttermilk, something I order everytime at saravana bhawan .

The order taker took our order very courteously and the order arrived pretty swiftly. The Dahi Vada looked very inviting, garnished so well, and looking so mouthwateringly delicious. And it tasted grand too.

Butter milk was nice, it had some spinach and cumin tadka. I loved the plain Masala Dosa and also the Rava Masala Dosa's. The dosa's were fresh only could have done with a little more filling, it seemed quite miserly put. The chutneys were rocking, especially the green chutney and the tomato chutney. The sambhar was fabulous. The vada's were crisp, fresh and melted in our mouths.

The Idli was fantastic, and I ordered a Coconut Rava Masala dosa which was fantastic beyond words so was my upma. For Desserts we tried the Badaam Halwa and the milk Halwa which was a delight to have.

One recommendation guys, like Sagar Ratna, you must give extra sambhar or chutneys.

Over all a great meal experince but would want more filling in our Dosa's and extra sambhar and chutneys with the yummy dosa's.
