The Blaze - Club Florence - Gurgaon

Having lived in Gurgaon for almost 10 months now I did not even know this place existed. Discovered the place while browsing zomato. And since the place happens to be pretty close to where we stay we decided to pay a visit on a lazy evening 2 weekends ago.

Located inside the decently well maintained Club Florence on Golf course extension road, you might wonder that since the place is located inside a club the restaurant might be out of bounds for non members. However that is not the case. Both members and non members can visit. The onky edge that a member has is that they get 15 percent Discount on food and 20 percent discount on alcoholic beverages.

The ambiance is just basic even though personally I thought it was slightly jazzy. They have a decent food and bar menu and a fairly decent seating capacity as well. The pricing is fairly decent as well. The service staff however is quite lost and clueless. The portions of appetisers are pretty miniscule too.

We ordered a paneer tikka; vegetable salt and pepper; Dahi ke kebab ; hot chocolate; mix salad; Paneer Butter Masala and Rabdi. The paneer tikka tasted ok but was slightly cold when it arrived and portion was small. The vegetable salt and pepper tasted really really nice. The Dahi kebab was Missable. The hot chocolate tasted good but could have been thicker. The paneer butter masala gravy was fantastic and the portion was ok too. The highlight of the evening however was the Rabdi with pineapple. It was hands down one of the best I have had. I can challenge you that you cannot stop at one portion and it pinches you that the portion size is so small.

Over all this place is ok if you are looking at decently priced place with reasonably priced booze.
