Sublym- Gurgaon - A Very Disappointing Experience - 2/5

A place this foodie will not recommend to other fellow foodies. Located at the sec 29 gurgaon market close to where once Zura was. The place has a Decent ambience and creates a good first impression only to come crashing down like a pile of cards.

I will sum up my meal experience as sad since the decent ambience is spoiled by very slow service and Average food. The menu has very limited options, especially in soups and salads and some items are not available at all. We wanted to have veg galauti which was not available and tandoori mushroom we are told will take time. Really? I think they wanted us to eat what they wished rather than the other way round.

The menu is not quite vegetarian friendly with very limited options. Even though the dishes are decently priced you realise that is so because they serve rather Minuscule portions. Like very very minuscule portions especially in soups and salads.

We Ordered thai som tam salad was very very spicy and the portion size was day light robbery. I have had som tam like a million times but this one? Nah!!! The tom kha soup and dhania shorba tasted ok but the portion sizes was again a mockery. The crispy water chestnut was just about ok taste wise. The portion was just ok. Again the spring rolls tasted below average and the coating was too thick. The only dishes where portions were decent were chilli paneer gravy and steam rice. Taste wise average.

The service was very slow considering we walked in at 10.30pm. And the bill even though was low at 2195/- that too because 2 people did not feel like eating main course because of the sad experience and no one ate dessert .... Thumbs down. Will not recommend
