Shubham Valley - Average South Indian in Dwarka - 3/5

This place was recommended by one of my husbands friends an because it was Navrati's and my inlaws did not want to go have food at a place that serves non-veg as well, so I was stuck without any options and had to visit Shubham valley.

The place is in one of the prominent markets in Dwarka on Ist floor. The place earlier used to be huge with quite a number of covers. But now they have given up more than 3/4th the space and what remains is more of a south Indian Cafeteria than a restaurant.

The place is teeny meeny and now the waiting can drive you crazy but may be because it was Navratra's that is why the place was not too over crowded. There were atleast 4 vacant tables, but my sister inlaw insisted she wanted to sit on a table with Sofa chairs.

The tables of the sofa chairs still awaited clearence of the left overs and utensils. It took them 15 minutes to clear the table for us and help us get seated. Very disappointing for a restaurant which is not even operating at peak time or at peak traffic. It took them another 5 minutes post seating us to give us the menu cards.

Finally they took the order and the food arrived. Service was very lousy, but food was decent. We ordered Paneer Masala, Onion Rava, which was average. Utthapam was usual, nothing exceptional. Navratra thali was average as well. The Curd Rice and Tamarind rice were between good and above average. Fresh lime soda's seemed made from lime cordial, and did not taste of lime at all.

The food does not match up to the prices, and seems you are paying too much for having average food at a really lousy service.
