Look Who's here with a Bang -- Its burger King - Flagship Store, Saket, India - 4/5

The US fast food chain & world's second largest Burger Chain Burger King will open about 12 outlets in the country over the next 60-90 days. The Everstone Group has developed the Burger King brand presence in the country. In India, the hamburger chain has changed its menu for India and the new Indian menu is quite intriguing. Initially they will be opening three stores - one in Gurgaon, another in Noida and a third in Mumbai.

"Whopper Lovers" did you know that Burger King has received 1,200 'Whopper' burgers pre order even before its launch and they open their doors in the country today at noon in New Delhi's Select City Walk mall.

Burger King India had a tie up with the on-line shopping giant eBay  that offered an opportunity to us whopper lovers to pre-order their chicken, mutton or vegetarian 'Whopper' burgers online between 3rd and 5th Nov at a special promotional flat price of Rs. 128 all inclusive. Fantastic isnt it? And statistics reveal that ebay has pre booked 540 chicken, 380 mutton and 240 vegetarian 'Whoppers' that have been declared as sold.

After Bringing Harry's bar to Delhi, Celebrity Chef Vicky Ratnani brings to you Burger King  Delhi. He has worked really well on planning an exceptional menu for Burger King India. Chef Vicky and celebrity food MC's Rocky & Mayur were present at the launch on 8th November at the select City walk where they interacted with all of us and taught us to make these yummy burgers as well.

Sam and a couple of her friends had the opportunity to be present at Burger King India's launch and taste the delicious, juicy, meaty burgers before anyone else in India could. I pity their only competitor Jhonny Rockets in the same mall, and I am sure Burger King is going to give them a run for the top spot.

And yes the meat patties are thicker and meatier than Mc Donalds minus the soy protein hence more impactful than any burger at Mc Donald's. Having eaten my share of burger's from international chains like Mc Donalds, KFC, Hard Rock cafe etc, without much a do let me tell you what to have at Burger King (important tip, be prepared to spend that extra buck and buy burgers priced above 100-150 bucks only then would you be doing justice to your visit).

  • Mutton & Chicken Whopper's: The Whopper is the signature hamburger product sold by Burger King. Introduced in 1957, it has undergone several reformulations including resizing and bread changes. The burger is one of the best known products in the fast food industry; it is so well known that Burger King calls itself as the Home of the Whopper. The mutton and chicken whoppers have a pan seared mutton and chicken patty with veggies and sauces and is massive in size and flavour. The juiciness of the meat and the tenderness of the bun club to make the Whopper a super hit. A must have at Burger king.
  • Chicken Tandoor Grill: It is a simple no frills attached Chicken burger for the chicken lovers. They grill the chicken and the bun is loaded with this chicken criss cross grill marked patty as a filling. Chicken lovers will love it.
  • The Classic Chicken Royal –  Another chicken burger with onions and cheese and tomatoes and lettuce over a lean juicy meaty chicken patty. As you taste the chicken patty you know that they have not mixed soy protein into the patty and thats what makes it juicier and tastier and its flavors are much more balanced.
  • Paneer King Melt : I would compare this to the KFC's paneer zinger only that this is juicier and tastier. The best option if you are a vegetarian. Even though personally I feel a veg burger is not a real burger, but nevertheless this is a good vegetarian option.
  • Sides & Desserts - The onion rings and fries were nice, and so were the soft serve cones and the shakes.

So people, its, sunday, get up, get set and go and enjoy the goodness of Burger king.
