Property Review : Hotel Ibis, Civil Lines Jaipur. -4/5

I have always been an Ibis Fan. Ibis as a chain is a chain of No frills attached budget business hotels. I prefer them even over our local desi brand Ginger. I love the fact that everything has been kept basic and non flashy. Everything in here is self service right from taking your luggage up yourself to parking your car. There is no Room Service. However there is a 24 hour coffee shop where you can binge if need be.

This Ibis Property in Jaipur is located in the heart of Civil lines and you can get a room anytime between 3000-4500 per night. Let me tell you, for the price this hotel exceeds your expectations. They have a two tier parking as well, and since we had driven down to Jaipur in our private vehicle the parking was seamless. The room was nice and basic with clean and crisp bed and bath linen. And let me tell you the beds are quite comfy but the double beds could be queen sized since me and my husband sleep as though the whole bed belongs to us.

The bathrooms are neat and no unnecessary toiletries are kept. They provide a basic handwash, body wash and shampoo just what one needs. The room has a tea / coffee maker and rooms generally do not have a minibar. We had a peaceful and sound sleep and the staff was sweet to even provide an iron and ironing board when we needed.

The breakfast the next day morning at Spice it their coffee shop was quite a lavish spread. The coffe Shop is huge with a decent, typical Ibis no frills attached ambiance with decent food. The spread was loaded with great breakfast rolls, cold cuts, sausages, Indian breakfast items like south Indian, paratha’s, Poori bhaji etc. Its a self service place so cannot rate the service. They have an all day menu also which seems decent. I am sure the food is fine too.

It’s a pleasure to stay at any Ibis property and having stayed in Jaipur my love affair with Ibis only became stronger.

So if you are travelling to Jaipur on a budget and want a basic property to stay, Ibis is the place you are looking for.
