Episode-1-What and where2 eat when travelling2 Mussouri wth SAM

Mussourie is called the queen of hills and very rightly so, because it is simply a breathtaking place. You feel as though you are walking between clouds, especially in this season.

I was in Mussourie two weeks back and needless to say for beating the unbearable Delhi heat and of course to explore some great food. Mussourie has everything - from street food like kullad ka doodh or bhel puri to Tibetan, Chinese, continental restaurants and even upmarket real fine dining places. The place to be is the mall road where atleast more than a hundred places would be there catering to the various tastes and palates of people.

You would find a number of big and small Tibetan places, omelette corners , Momo joints and amazing pastry shops mushrooming on Mall road. I went crazy clicking pics because Mall road is so full of food. You would see an omlette wala on one corner or a maggi wala or a kullad ke doodh wala on the other corner. And There are such famous restaurants like Kalsang and Amitash and both come recommended by Rocky and Mayur. And needles to say their food is fantastic.

The place has bakeries big and small and astonishingly they have such amazing world class desserts that one literally goes crazy having them. My tip is stay at a hotel near the mall if you are not travelling by a self driven car, and you can simply walk from one end of the mall to the other and feed your soul with some finger licking amaazing food. My only regret is that I should find a regional cuisine restaurant selling kumaoni food. So starting this week Sam takes you to must visit places to eat when you are travelling to Mussourie.

Presenting Tomorrow Episode 2, Restaurant review of my visit to the best Chinese and Tibetan place in Mussourie. So stay tuned and savour the tastes of Mussourie starting today.
